Freedom of Information amendments defeated

Thank you & congratulations.

In the last fortnight there has been  huge flurry of emails to the Liberal, National and DLP MPs expressing concern about the amendments proposed to Victoria's Freedom of Information legislation.

Changes that would have allowed active citizens to be banned from making applications if they made "repeated applications" under FOI.

Last Thursday in the Upper House, the Greens, Liberals and Nationals combined to vote against the bill and defeated it.

Your emails were very effective and made a strong impression on the Liberals and Nationals as the bill went into debate.

Thanks for your efforts, without them this bill would have passed making Victoria an even more secret state.
